Before I started this product, my LDL was 196. After six months of use, my LDL dropped to 143, a 27% decrease. I even tried discontinuing it, and my LDL went back up to 182. It's puzzling, as the active ingredient, monacolin K (lovastatin), is removed to meet FDA guidelines, which raises the question of whether it's better to simply take lovastatin for a guaranteed dose. Nevertheless, there is a notable difference when I take red yeast rice.

Red yeast rice is akin to a naturally occurring synthetic statin. I took it over two months and passed a control analysis. The results showed a decrease in bad cholesterol and an increase in good cholesterol. The atherogenic coefficient also decreased and fell within normal limits. I experienced no side effects and followed this regimen: one tablet of red yeast rice and two tablets of lecithin with garlic concentrate in the morning, and one tablet of red yeast rice and two garlic lecithin tablets in the evening. So far, it has been my best result in the battle against high cholesterol.

Red yeast rice is often recommended for those who cannot tolerate statins. If you are on statin medications, consult your doctor before trying alternatives. This supplement may also reduce levels of CoQ10, so consider supplementation. I switched to red yeast rice after my cholesterol levels were significantly high. After two months, I noticed a decrease in my cholesterol. Remember, this supplement doesn't work as quickly as statins, but it is worth continuing to use.

The active ingredient, monacolin K, is also found in statins, suppressing cholesterol production in the liver. Ensure you consult with your doctor before using this product. It’s important not to take it uncontrollably.
